Having grown up on my parent’s eclectic combination of Reggae, Rare Groove and Chicago House music, I always used music as a form of escapism.
At the age of 18, I started mixing with House, Garage and R&B with my friend and fellow radio presenter, Wired Faulty. Within a few years, we both began hosting our own Breakfast Show on a local pirate radio station. By 21, I moved to London to further my studies and career within Marketing and Graphic Design.
By 2016 I co-founded UK Multi-Genre collective, Sunday Roast. Our 4 hours Sunday afternoon radio show on Digital radio station, Birmingham Sounds Radio (BSR), has seen us take his deep hypnotic energetic groove and melody driven vibe to a new and growing audience of music.
“For me, it’s all about the mood and playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realising it, regardless of genre, tempo, style or release date.”
A year after releasing working on the radio show, myself, Wired Faulty, Lee Banger and Bobby Noodlez created on event, Sunday Roast Live, which took our vibe directly to our fans. The aim of the event was to promote Midlands talent and give back something to our fans who have supported us through everything.
Later that year, both Wired Faulty and I signed to the Code & Entry label under an Artist Management deal seeing us play at ShardFest and other events throughout the West Midlands, UK.
I believe, we are only just started and the best is yet to come from Sunday Roast!
